I’m a Maine and New England based wedding and elopement photographer, available worldwide. I was gifted my first camera at 11 by my grandfather, and I quickly fell in love with the art of photography.  Eventually, I took the leap and created Mikaela King Photography in 2017. With nearly 10 years of experience documenting celebrations, my approach is centered on capturing your day as it naturally unfolds, preserving genuine moments and creating art & heirlooms you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

I'm a photographer with a deep love for weddings - capturing the energy & connection between couples and their loved ones, family traditions, thoughtful details and touches, fashion, all the quiet & big moments throughout the day, food and drinks shared over conversation.

I take pride in my ability to easily be able to read a room, step in when needed, and how I uniquely support each of my couples on their day.

Get to know me–

I live in a small town in Maine with my husband Jeff and our 3 rescue dogs Jack, Scout and Marley! Off the clock– you can typically find me appreciating a salted honey latte, outside exploring with my husband & dogs, reading a thriller book, gardening, cooking, antiquing, shooting film, forcing my husband to watch horror movies with me, and spending time with my family.

I'm a Mainer born and raised - and I'm absolutely inlove with the coast of Maine (so much so that I got married on a boat!). When I'm not working, my husband and I load the dogs into the car and find ourselves spending the day near a lake or the ocean, getting lobster rolls then finishing off the day with ice cream (and pup cups of course).

I also love traveling; fun fact: I have visited 25 countries so far! I spent my early 20's backpacking Europe, visiting Indonesia, Singapore, The Philippines, Cuba, etc.

And if it wasn't already clear... possibly the most important thing you should know about me is I am truly obsessed with my dogs (and your dog, too).
